The Trust provides a Bursary scheme , when resources permit, to pay for counselling and if you are on very low income, a full time student or living on a state pension, income support or state benefits you are eligible for the Bursary.
We believe it is helpful for clients to pay something, however small an amount, for their counselling and you will be asked to contribute towards the full cost of your sessions.
The Bursary will support you financially for up to 10 counselling sessions, in exceptional circumstances this may be extended at the discretion of the Trust.
Bursaries are allocated, as far as possible, on a first come first served basis and as there are a limited number available you may be asked to wait for a period of time before you can start counselling.
Low Cost Counselling is open ended so that you can have counselling for as long as you need it. Depending on your ability to pay we operate a sliding scale, down from the full cost of £35 to £20 per session.
There are a limited number of places available and as they are allocated, as far as possible, on a first come first served basis there may be a waiting list for the service.
As clients’ eligibility for low cost Counselling or a Bursary is based on their ability to pay, it is necessary to discuss some financial details relating to your income, before a fee is agreed. For more details about the counselling provided please see our information for clients leaflet.
